How do I download To Gather?
To Gather is available on the App Store (iOS) and on Google Play (Android). Search for "To Gather - Planifier ensemble" and install the app for free.
How do I create an account?
Open the app and sign up with your email, Google, or Apple account. Then complete your profile with a username and a photo.
Is the app free?
Yes, To Gather is completely free. Every feature is accessible with no subscription or in-app purchase.
Events
How do I create an event?
Tap the "+" button from the home screen, fill in the details (title, location, date), and invite your friends. You can also leave the date as "To be determined" and plan it together.
How do I find the best time slot for everyone?
Create an event with the date set to "To be determined". Guests can then share their availability via a visual calendar. To Gather automatically suggests the best common slots.
How do I invite friends to an event?
From your event page, use the "Invite" button. You can invite To Gather users or share an invite link by message or on social media.
How do I edit or cancel an event?
As the host, open your event and tap the edit icon. You can change the details or delete the event from that menu.
Groups of friends
How do I create a group?
Go to the "Groups" tab and tap "+". Give your group a name, add a cover photo, and invite your friends.
What are groups for?
Groups make it easy to plan recurring outings with the same people. Each group has its own chat and dedicated events.
Photos & memories
How does photo sharing work?
During an event, you get notifications to take spontaneous photos (like BeReal). The photos are hidden and revealed the next day at 6pm for the whole group.
How do I save a photo to my gallery?
Open the photo in full screen, then tap the download icon in the top left. The photo will be saved to your gallery.
Why does the app ask for access to my photos?
To Gather accesses your gallery so you can choose a profile picture or an event cover photo. Write access lets you save your event photos back to your gallery.
Messaging
What types of conversations are there?
To Gather offers three types: group conversations (tied to an event), direct messages (private between two people), and secret chats (anonymous during an event).
How do I send a direct message?
Go to the profile of a user you follow each other with and tap the message icon. You can also reach your conversations from the Messages tab.
Notifications
How do I enable notifications?
The first time you open the app, accept push notifications. You can manage them anytime in your phone's settings.
What notifications will I receive?
You'll get notifications for: event invitations, reminders before your events, photo prompts, new messages, and follow requests.
Privacy & account
Is my data protected?
Yes. To Gather uses Supabase with encryption in transit and at rest. We never sell your data. See our privacy policy for more details.
How do I make my profile private?
Your profile is private by default. Users must send you a follow request that you can accept or decline.
How do I delete my account?
Go to the app's Settings and tap "Delete my account". All your data will be permanently erased. You can also contact us by email.
